Ferag Australia Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the WRH Marketing Group, which in turn is a WRH Walter Reist Holding company employing approximately 1600 people worldwide. The head office of WRH Marketing is based in Hinwil, some 30 kilometres from Zurich, Switzerland.

1955 Ferag conveyor for smearfree conveying of newspapers, developed by Walter Reist, is patented.
1956 Installation of the first prototype at the Zurich Tages-Anzeiger.
1958 First major order for six conveyors for the Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung.
1965 Start-up of first complete mailroom system - from printing press to delivery truck - at La Voix du Nord in France.
