The PrintCity alliance, with its wide range of growing news and activities across the printing, packaging and publishing sectors, will again be a major attraction at drupa, May 29-June 11, 2008.
At the same time the PrintCity alliance will celebrate its 10th anniversary and its third joint drupa fair.
Focusing its drupa presence on ‘Connection of Competence’, PrintCity members are planning a ‘new concept’ approach to attract and inform visitors about the power of print & packaging media.
PrintCity members will again occupy the centrally located Hall 6 in Düsseldorf for the world’s premier exhibition in the printing, publishing and packaging industry.
In total there will be more than 30 PrintCity participants at drupa, with exhibition stands ranging from over 4000sq m down to 20sq m.
The new concept approach will focus on dedicated Competence Centres, a Forum presentation area and easy to use visitor information areas and guidance features.
The objective throughout is to present world leading joint project knowledge & research findings from the PrintCity alliance.
President of PrintCity, Helmut Dangelmaier, comments, "The PrintCity alliance has delivered many new activities, projects and seminars since drupa 2004. Innovation areas have included new project work on Brand Protection & Food Packaging, Value Added Printing of Newspapers plus numerous other projects.
"These, together with work involving RFID technology and Digital Printing, have attracted growing interest in PrintCity and its members worldwide.
“For drupa 2008 we have many new projects & features for printers, packaging converters and publishers alike. Many of these projects are totally new and will not be fully announced until early 2008.
"We also have new ideas to attract brand owners and print buyers, so that they can see why PrintCity is recognised as the ‘window to the future’ in our industry.
“Over the coming months we will reveal these new drupa 2008 PrintCity features and benefits, plus talk about some of our new partners,” concludes Dangelmaier.
