Pillar introduces Unifoiler air-cooled packaging induction sealers
Pillar Technologies, a leading manufacturer of induction heat sealing systems, has introduced its proven air-cooled range of Unifoiler induction sealing systems to the European market. The new sealing systems gives packaging and process companies the benefits of technologically advanced, air-cooled induction-sealing systems at affordable prices.
Comprising a variety of units suitable for low speed applications through to systems for automated, high-speed packaging lines, the Unifoiler range offers customers a reliable and proven alternative to traditional water-cooled systems.
The design of the Unifoiler range is based on a modular construction, making it easy to install, operate and maintain.
In addition, each system has been developed to offer users a flexible approach to induction sealing, with the hand-held 1kW version being easily upgradeable to an automatic unit.
The Pillar Unifoiler is available with hand-held, tunnel and universal coils, enabling the range to be used to apply seals to a wide variety of closure sizes and styles; for example, the hand held coil is capable of sealing flat closures from 28mm to 89mm in diameter, while tunnel coils are available in a wide range of sizes to seal spouted, conical and some styles of flip-top closures.
In addition, the Universal coil offers users a further degree of flexibility as it can be used to seal all flat closure sizes from 15mm up to 120mm, as well as many flip top closures eliminating the need for time consuming coil changes between products, and therefore machine downtime during busy periods.
The Unifoiler range can be supplied with a mobile cart with levelling pads, or permanently mounted over a conveyor to fit the client’s exact specification.
Power ratings for the induction sealers are from 1kW to 4kW, making them suitable for requirements including laboratory, R and D, semi and fully automatic use at any speeds.
The systems can be combined with a range of options including missing foil, stalled bottles and misaligned cap detectors, as well as an optional stacked light package, and motorised height adjustment, all designed to increase production efficiency and reduce downtime.
A full range of interlocks and customer connections exist to allow the system either to operate as a stand-alone unit, or as an integral part of an integrated line.
The range also features Pillar’s ’Quick-Lock’ coil set up technology, which allows easy coil adjustment and removal.
In addition, the induction systems benefit from microprocessor control and a soft touch membrane control panel, enabling users to access real-time performance data on the sealing process.
As standard, the range incorporates diagnostic and fault indicators to allow easy troubleshooting if required.
