International flexographic printing plate production company Nu-Maber, based has recently purchased two new Concept 505 XP DW plate processors. The units are built by Degraf, and will replace the equipment already in use at Nu-Maber's Italian premises.
To date, Nu-Maber has ten Degraf machines installed at its plant, all of them large-format units from the Concept 500 family, including three exposure units, three processors, two dryers and two finishing units.
According to Degraf the two Concept processors, a 501 P and a 505 DW, will be replaced before the end of the year with two new Concept 505 XP DW. The new machines can process both analogue and digital plates and may also work in batch or in-line modes.
Livio Simionato, managing director of Nu-Maber says, “In our plant we almost exclusively use Degraf machines for preparing and making flexographic plates, and the new Concept 505 XPDW is really a revolutionary unit. It combines the distinctive features of two machines, the 505 XP and the 505 DW, which previously could only be purchased separately.”
He adds, “Both analogue and digital plates may be washed individually, one by one, or continuously, without interruption, for higher productivity and a substantial decrease in plate processing time.”
Riccardo De Caria, President of Degraf SpA says, “Thanks to our continuous relationship with Nu-Maber, we can develop new solutions, test and improve the machines currently on the market through precise feedback from the people who use them every day.”
