Paper and board manufacturer Metso has strengthened its presence in South East Asia by setting up a new company, Metso Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The office will be shared by Metso’s all three segments, Paper and Fiber Technology, Energy and Environment Technology and Mining and Construction Technology.
The new office is located northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, in close proximity to Tan San Nhat airport. In the beginning, the office will employ one person, Phuoc Mac Cam, sales and administration assistant.Metso says the target of the new office is to strengthen the company’s presence in South East Asia and Vietnam. The annual paper and board consumption in Vietnam is about 1.5 million tonnes and the population around 90 million.
