new businesses  packaging - closures

To consolidate and expand its position in Asia, metal packaging manufacturer Impress has set up a new representative office in Hong Kong which is now operational.

The company says Hong Kong has been selected as a hub office because of its strategic position in Asia and its, “business oriented mind.”

Impress continues that the principal aim of the office is to control and expand significantly its existing interests in Asia as well as develop new business in the region, taking advantage of the opportunities the different Asian markets offer.

Robert Zanetto, business development director Asia, will head up the new office and lead the new venture, which the company says will also strengthen links between Impress Australasia, Impress Europe and Impress USA and this region.

Also, a sourcing and purchasing director is expected to join the office in 2009 to manage Asian sourcing opportunities for mainline materials.
