Cosmetic packaging company Risdon International has announced a reconstruction of its activities in China with recently purchased Decopart becoming Risdon Metel Asia as well as Inmagine becoming Risdon Plastic Asia. The company says the move is to unite all its entities under the same name.
Eric Bigotte, executive vice president sales and marketing, says "There are several reasons for this reorganisation. Firstly, the companies were bought last year, and to have a coherent image as regards to the customers, we need to unite our entities under a same name. Secondly, we want to give at Risdon a managerial visibility for the both the team and our customers."
Also as part of the reorganisation, the company has appointed a new general manager of Risdon Asia. Peter Yu was awarded the position and will have oversight responsibility for Risdon's Chinese operations.
Thomas Frater, Risdon CEO says, "Over the past 20 years, Peter Yu has worked on several investments in China. To recruit someone with his solid experience in business with judgment on developing world-class operations in China in a variety of consumer related industries is a significant step for Risdon."
Risdon also announced the promotion of Frank Zhang to the newly formed position of operations director for Risdon Plastic Asia. Zhang has served as project engineer and head of engineering for the Taichang plant, for more than 10 years.
Also as part of the reshuffle Leo Li has become production manager of Risdon Plastic Asia. The company says he has an extensive background in manufacturing and injection molding, having held several senior level manufacturing positions
Finally, Jay Lu has been appointed finance manager of Risdon Asia, where he will be responsible for setting up the necessary accounting, banking and business management systems for the company's China operations.
