Impresstik, the Australian manufacturer of labels and purpose built application equipment highlighted its Web Master roll-changeover device that can be incorporated into Impresstik's in-line and rotary label application machines.

Darren Shapter, sales manager for Impresstik says the Web Master concept enables automatic application of self-adhesive labels in the normal manner, but splices the start of the next roll in readiness for expiry of the first - thus avoiding any line-stoppage during changeover.

He says, “There has been a good amount of action and interest on our stand throughout the show. The Web Master improves efficiency and doesn’t need to stop as often as other equipment on the market. It allows customers to gain a lot in terms of productivity.”

Impresstik also outlines that with automatic removal & disposal of the backing-paper waste after label application in addition to the roll-changeover function, the Web-Master concept dramatically reduces down-time on the manufacturing line normally caused by manual label roll changes and backing-paper waste removal - and consequently minimises 'labour' requirements.
