Packaging giant Huhtamaki has announced changes in its group executive team effective January 1.

Suresh Gupta, senior vice president, Flexibles Asia-Oceania, has been appointed as executive vice president, Flexibles Global and member of the group executive team. Gupta has been the managing director & CEO of The Paper Products Ltd., Huhtamäki Oyj’s subsidiary in India as of May 1, 1994, and also held his current position as of June 1, 2006.

Peter Wahsner, senior vice president, Films Global, has been appointed as executive vice president, Films Global and member of the group executive team.

George Lai, executive vice president, Rigid and Molded Fiber Asia-Oceania-Africa, will leave Huhtamaki at the end of this year.

The Huhtamaki group executive team now comprises Jukka Moisio (Chairman), chief executive officer; Timo Salonen, chief financial officer; Juha Salonen, senior vice president, administration and general counsel; Clay Dunn, executive vice president, Americas and Rough Molded Fiber Global; Suresh Gupta, executive vice president, Flexibles Global; Eric Le Lay, executive vice president, Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania; and Peter Wahsner, executive vice president, Films Global.
