Gulmen Engineering has launched a new flexographic label printing press, the Polo 320, to Australia , which the company says provides label printers with a wide range of print options to bring to market at an affordable price.

The basic Polo 320 can have six to eight colours with combination UV and IR drying systems with constantly turning aniloxes. It has cold foiling UV laminating and self adhesive taper tensioning for unwind and rewind capability which the company says allows perfect register in tandem with 360 degree circumferential registration. For label and tag printing a back print web turner is also standard.

Eddie Gulmen principal of Gulmen Engineering says, “To remain competitive in label manufacturing you must give yourself an edge. Low new capital purchase cost is an important factor allowing for a faster return on your investment. With the endless range of options available with the Polo 320 you are now able to continue to develop your market knowing you are able to suit its needs cost effectively within a time frame to suit you without jumping in too early with a huge capital outlay and purchase of ancillary equipment which you may or may not ever use.”

Gulmen has been working closely with respected label printing associate Phillip Fogarty who has been part of the label printing arena for 40years, to extensively test the press. The company is planning to hold an in-house exhibition of the press in the near future.
