Drawing gazes on the Visy Automation stand during Auspack was the DYNAC Conveyor System from Hartness International, which Visy says brings improvements to line throughput and product volume while providing, pressureless product handling and accumulation.

Alastair Sloan, national sales manager at Visy says frequent slowdowns and micro-stops that are inherent, in even the best designed lines, can dramatically reduce throughput. He adds the DYNAC system virtually eliminates the effect of these occurrences, raising productivity by providing a constant and optimal product flow to line components.

Sloan says, “The DYNAC system allow people to run their lines much more efficiently, it creates a buffer between upstream and downstream equipment.”

He continues, “These systems are starting to take hold in Australia as efficiency becomes more important and people are starting to tighten their belts.”

According to Visy, the DYNAC system offers production benefits for a wide variety of product sizes and types, including round and non-round in metal, glass, plastic, and paperboard. It is also adept at handling pouches and other flexible packages, along with flow wrapped and many primary package types.

Also, DYNAC's bypass function allows for maintenance to be performed without affecting line operation.
