Switzerland-based identification technologies company Bluehill ID has acquired Australian identification management company Fastcards, who provides ID and RFID solutions to government, mining and the industrial sector throughout Australia. Fastcards’ RFID and web solutions will now be sold internationally through the Bluehill Group.

Ayman Ashour, CEO of Bluehill ID says Fastcards has been a pioneer in serving the Australian market with innovative outsourced identity management solutions. Adding that the company has developed expertise in this area and he expects it to fit well with other group companies.

Meanwhile Scott Austin, founder and president of Fastcards says the company is well acquainted with the Bluehill ID team and already has a strong working relationship with several group companies.

He continues, “Fastcards is excited about joining the Bluehill team and believe this will open up important opportunities for our solutions and will help solidify our technology and product base particularly in RFID.

Austin also says, “The company’s RFID and web solutions will bring a great depth of knowledge and engineering competence to the Bluehill Group.”

Fastcards also offers a patented web based credential management solution most recently deployed in conjunction with RFID tagged credentials at the World Youth Day 08 event in Sydney.
