Auspack opened to eager industry representatives this week with organisers saying many visitors have already found solutions or discovered new ideas on how to improve their manufacturing processes.
Despite the turbulent financial climate, exhibitors haven't cut many corners on their displays, with a vast array of manufacturing and production machines buzzing, humming and moving in all directions.Strategically placed in the centre of the Olympic venue is the new product showcase – displaying some of the latest products on the market, which are available from exhibitors at the show.
In an opening statement, Rob Keen, event director, says he acknowledged the hundreds of exhibitors who returned this year as well as the many new local and international exhibitors who are participating for the first time.
He says, "We would like to acknowledge the industry support displayed by the hundreds of exhibitors presenting the latest innovations that are available to the packaging and processing industries throughout the next four days."
Keen continued, "Auspack is your opportunity to speak directly with industry experts and discover what is possible to deliver greater manufacturing results."
Meanwhile, Rob Lawrence chairman of the Australian Packaging Machinery Association said Auspack had exhibitor displays occupying a total floor area of 15,000sqm. He added that Auspack was the only national exhibition of packaging and processing machinery in Australia.
Lawrence said, "We can expect to see many innovations at Auspack 2009 as the packaging and processing machinery industry evolves, and as an exhibitor or visitor, I am sure there will be products of interest for your business."
