Aldus supplying Solutions Graphiques plate cleaners in Australia

Aldus  plates - flexo

Converting equipment supplier Aldus Engineering is now marketing a tried and proven range of flexo and letterpress plate cleaners manufactured by Solutions Graphiques, which Aldus claims compliments the MicroClean anilox roll cleaner and parts cleaners.

Aldus continues that MicroClean anilox roll cleaner and parts cleaners are widely accepted in Australia and New Zealand as the most efficient and safe method of cleaning anilox rolls and are used in some 47 plants in Australia & across the Tasman.

However, the company also outlines that if the printing plates are dirty it does somewhat detract from having clean anilox rolls. In most flexo plants plates are being cleaned manually, which is an expensive and unreliable way of keeping a plate clean and reusable, according to Aldus.

Ian Guanaria, general manager of Aldus says, “Solutions Graphiques has manufactured over 500 various models of their plate cleaner which is suitable for either flexo or letterpress plates. Even during 2009 which was one of the worst years for the industry in living memory some 80 machines were shipped from its plant in Luxembourg.”

Aldus also outlines the various models available cater for both narrow web label and tag printer, wide web, and corrugated plates and can be configured to suit water or solvent based inks and also UV inks. The company adds the cleaning process is by immersion with brush assistance which is followed by rinsing and final drying, allowing the plates to stored totally clean and dry.

Aldus concludes the addition of the Solutions Graphiques plate washers now rounds off its range of press room cleaning accessories.
