Stamping foil manufacturer Kurz and printing ink manufacturer Zeller+Gmelin have announced a partnership to produce a package for cold foil transfer in UV-sheet fed offset printing.

The companies says they are relying on experience from narrow web printing as well as from conventional sheet-fed offset printing to transfer in to the field of application of UV-sheet fed offset printing.

The target of the agrement, labeled Go For Gold, is a complete package in which the individual components are adapted to each other. As an offer, this package is to contain a special cold foil for UV-application, a UV-glue exactly adapted to the cold foil, an optimised foil transfer by a specially developed printing blanket, woldwide service as well as application training.

With this package, the two partners also says they would like to support interested users in UV-sheet fed offset printing by technical advice as well as impart security in daily production which is necessary for high quality cold foil transfer.

According to the companies, the production in UV-offset printing opens up advantages like the possible application in foil printing, the complete inline production as well as the elimination of waiting times which have to be considered with conventional drying.
