Women in print's Auckland bash

Printing Industries
Auckland's second Women in Print evening is expected to be fully booked when the event rolls around later this month.

PrintNZ is rolling out a series of these "networking" evenings around the country. This is the second such event held in Auckland after the outstanding success of PrintNZ's inaugural one in the city last year.

Guest speaker is again Pat Armitstead, a 'Joyologist' who has spoken at all this year's WIP events; she'll be talking about talking about the importance of humour in the workplace. Unsurprisingly her topic is titled: "The Importance of Not Being Earnest."

Meanwhile almost 100 attended Wellington's annual PrintNZ Women in Print evening recently.

The evening's entertainment included a quiz on 80s movies and celebrity faces, providing a challenge for many attendees. The lucky number draw put a smile on several faces, with several great prizes given away including retail vouchers and ipods.

Marion Chaston of Printlink was delighted to win the major prize - a stunning hot pink cellphone.

A little later in the evening dance troupe the RHBs provided hilarious entertainment, as they performed in lycra leotards, leg warmers and sweat-bands to several popular songs from the 80s. Dance sheets were provided, showing the moves to a Guns n Roses track. This was followed by an enthusiastic practice and judging by the RHBs.

This event was sponsored by Bluesky Total Network, Heidelberg, CPI Papers, BJBall Papers, Spicers Paper & Nova Inks and Chemicals.
