Welcome party for Kiwis at drupa

Printing Industries  drupa

Kiwis and Aussies attending drupa 2012 in May are being invited to a special Trans-Tasman welcome reception on May 4, the day after the show kicks off.

The reception is being sponsored by the Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMAA) in conjunction with Printing Industries Association of Australia and PrintNZ.

Karen Goldsmith, executive director at GAMAA, , said the Trans-Tasman Welcome Reception would be a great opportunity for printers and suppliers from Australia and New Zealand to catch-up at the beginning of the two-week exhibition. She says, “Because of its huge size drupa can prove to be a difficult exhibition for friends and colleagues to co-ordinate, so we have deliberately scheduled this invitation-only event at the start of the exhibition period.

“GAMAA is happy to be able to provide this opportunity for the Australian and New Zealand contingents to meet at a combined cocktail party and we hope it provides a great introduction and networking opportunity to the world’s largest printing exhibition.”

Printing Industries CEO Bill Healey said that a significant number of delegates would be attending drupa for the first time. He says, “I am also a first-timer, so like many others will be looking for advice from the more experienced drupa attendees on how best to navigate this colossal show. The Trans-Tasman reception will be the ideal place to start from.”

While admission is free thanks to GAMAA’s support, attendees must register beforehand. Printing Industries is handling registrations and both Australian and New Zealand delegates can register by e-mailing theresa@printnet.com.au with their contact details.

The Trans-Tasman welcome reception will be held on Friday May 4 at the Mercure Hotel Düsseldorf Hafen.
