After closing entires for its Pimp My Paper competition in December, Spicers Paper will soon invite visitors to its web site to choose a winner.
Spicers Paper says it initiated the competition to help reclaim the roots of ink on paper and show the value uncoated paper can bring to the design process. For the competition, the company created a new recruit called Cardbot, which creative people could work on to design a winning entry. The winner will receive a macbook air and semi finalists win a 16gb ipod nano.Carolyn Lockstone, marketing manager, Spicers Paper, says, “We offered designers and creatives the opportunity to get their creative juices flowing and pimp out Cardbot using a selection from our uncoated range and the results were outstanding.”
A shortlist of designs will soon feature on the web site www.pimpmypaper.co.nz where visitors can vote for their favourite Cardbot. After voting finishes on February 12, Spicers says it will bring the winning Cardbots to life with each participating designer receiving a limited edition creation.
