Screen press awarded product of the year

Screen  UV  printing - digital  printing - screen

Screen’s grand-format UV inkjet printer the Truepress Jet2500UV was recognized as Product of the Year at SGIA by the Digital Printing & Imaging Association (DPI), at this year’s SGIA exhibition.

In the output device category, the Truepress Jet2500UV received the Product of the Year award for rigid substrate – UV Ink output. The inkjet printing system impressed the DPI judges with the kind of outstanding print results that consistently impressed booth visitors at this year’s SGIA show, according to the company.

DPI holds the annual Product of the Year contest in conjunction with SGIA, held earlie this month at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The competition compares digital imaging products that are increasing the speed and accuracy of specialty imaging in wide-format digital graphics.

Entrants were required to print and submit test images created by DPI. The test forms contain a number of challenging images and patterns designed to put digital printing devices through their paces. A panel of printing experts based its award selections on the color appeal, tonality and detail displayed on the submissions.

Mike Fox, president of Screen, USA says, “We are very proud that the Truepress Jet2500UV has been honored as one of the digital imaging products that is helping the printing industry and enabling printers to succeed in the marketplace.”

He adds, “Screen’s Truepress printing systems represent our deep commitment to the digital imaging community.”
