Auckland based technology company, Scheduling Technologies is about to crack the US market further with its new version of computer coding software application Prestige Scheduler. The company made an appearance at the recent Graph Expo and Converting Expo show in Chicago, releasing its much anticipated version five (v5) of Prestige Scheduler where the product has developed a strong reputation within the print and packaging industries.

This low profile company has over the past four years been making serious inroads into the US market with many companies such as Vanguard ID Systems, Chicago Decal,
FedEx Kinko’s, the Gallup Organisation, and many more smaller businesses using its software.

Prestige Scheduler was developed as a stand alone system that would integrate easily into management systems, including MIS, ERP, MRP proprietary, in-house systems or simple accounting packages.

The software pulls in any job specifications and data to bring jobs onto the live and graphical scheduling board. Jobs can be changed, re-prioritised, moved to different production routes between equivalent resources to balance loads, along with a host of other functions to make production more manageable even in the largest production environment.

The company has been installing its Prestige Scheduler in many sites around the world and is looking like becoming another serious success story of New Zealand’s know-how in technology.

Software developer, Chris Ashman, says that most of the large manufacturing systems, whether they focus on print converting, packaging or any other type of manufacturing, don’t seem to answer the user’s needs for production planning, scheduling or tracking.

“The larger manufacturing systems just can’t seem to come close to what the users in their particular manufacturing areas need in the way of functionality. This is great for us as Prestige Scheduler can handle the planning and scheduling at a fraction of the price, deliver the solution integrated with the management system and everyone is happy.”

Chris is hoping that Prestige Scheduler will now become more well known here as the company focuses more on the local market with the rollout of the v5 also offering a “small business edition” of Prestige Scheduler.
