Royce Richards will compete in the New Zealand team, the Tool Blacks, at the world skills championships next September in Canada.

Peter Spencer, CEO world skills, believes the team will perform well at the championships, and is pleased the team members come from around the country. He says, “This year there is a good spread of competitors from across the country, with a good number from the mainland.”

He says all the equipment used at the event will be new and will be distributed to schools after the competition is over. The organisers have arranged for competitors to visit the Rocky Mountains and an American football game.

Richards, who works at Rainbow Print in Christchurch, will be the New Zealand printing industry’s sole representative at the world skills championships. He will feature in the December issue of New Zealand Printer.
