PrintNZ places productivity on agenda for health and safety expert

PrintNZ has taken on the services of a health and safety expert who will also be involved in expanding last year’s productivity project.

In announcing the appointment of Glenda Keegan as membership coordinator, PrintNZ says that she brings a wealth of experience in the field of health and safety with her. Her role covers the entire south island and up to Manawatu in the north, and her duties include assisting PrintNZ member companies by providing advice and support on health and safety as well as other issues. She will also be involved in the PrintNZ productivity project, which four print businesses took part in last year. This project will expand further in 2009.

She says, “Health and safety is one of my key passions. I love seeing the benefits that improvements can make in the workplace.”

Over the past 20 years, Keegan has worked at Sealed Air in Porirua in a variety of roles including include production manager, health and safety manager, and in quality management.

PrintNZ adds that, after receiving training, Keegan will become the PrintNZ expert in EnviroMark. She concludes, “I am really looking forward to getting out and visiting members, understanding what they do and providing support and advice.
