PrintNZ hooks TV fisherman for dinner

awards  conference / seminar  PrintNZ

Organisers of the PrintNZ Conference have secured the services of daredevil fisherman Matt Watson as guest speaker at the combined Apprentice Awards/Conference Dinner on June 28 at Auckland's Heritage Hotel.

Watson, host of the television programme ITM Fishing Show, will share adventures from his game fishing career, working on the most successful boat in New Zealand for four years in a row, and his latest exploits for the ITM Fishing Show.

Ruth Cobb, membership services manager for PrintNZ, says, “The Apprentice Awards/PrintNZ Conference Dinner will provide an evening of entertainment after the day of informative workshop sessions. This dinner is also an opportunity for the print industry to celebrate the achievements of its best apprentices. During the awards presentation, we look forward to three new awards being presented: the company training award, the workplace trainer award and the top management trainee award.”

The PrintNZ Conference takes place over two days, June 28-29 and features top presenters. She adds that the modular nature of the conference allows delegates to pick and choose which events they want to attend. She says, “You can attend just the Apprentice Awards/PrintNZ Conference Dinner, but we would like to see people get the full benefit of conference by registering for workshop sessions as well.

“We received excellent feedback from previous conference attendees, who said they would return for the 2012 event. We are only one week out from the event so get your registration in. I also want to acknowledge the support of our sponsors without whom the conference could not take place.”

The principal sponsors are Aarque Group, Böttcher, Fuji Xerox and Hostmann-Steinberg.
