Print awareness for non printers

Educating people on the periphery of the industry
ducation  training  print management
A course for people joining the printing industry without the background, or with experience in only one field is again being run this year.

PrintNZ is sponsoring the course to educate participants in the complexities of the industry and to gain a better understanding of the time pressures encountered in the production process.

PrintNZ says the course is ideal for people entering the industry or for those dealing with printers, like print buyers,  advertising agency staff and students in any of the related industries.

The aim is to educate people on the periphery of the industry on how to communicate more effectively with people involved in every aspect of the print production process, and ‘how to talk to printers using printers’ terms.’

PrintNZ believes that knowledge of the industry improves sales and customer service and enables people selling print to focus better on customers’ needs.

The one-day course will outline the graphic arts industry in New Zealand, the main printing processes, and changes in the production cycle.
