After discussions with PacPrint 09 organisers, Pride In Print has announced that this year’s supreme winners will be displayed at Australasia’s largest print trade exhibition for 2009.

Sue Archibald, manager of the Pride In Print awards, says that not only will all winning work will be on display in the Wellington Convention Centre for five days after the award winners are announced on May 8, but the supreme award winner and supreme award finalists will be placed on display at PacPrint 09 in Melbourne, which kicks off on May 26.

Promoting the possibility of success through international exposure from the awards, she says, “With the potential for international marketing success and global exposure that flowed on from last year’s awards, including Auckland-based firm Logick Print & Graphics going on to win a top prize at the world’s premier packaging awards, the Pentawards in Monaco, printing industry managers should make use of this last chance for entries. Success in the awards has tremendous PR value both externally and internally, in terms of giving employees a sense of achievement and craftsmanship.”

Archibald says that, with the final deadline for eleventh hour entries set for the close of business on Friday, February 27, Pride In Print staff Would have only one week to prepare all materials, catalogue them and ship them up to Auckland for the judging. She adds, “Judging involves experts from throughout the print and design industry and is based on excellence in all facets of the production process. Entries cost $80 and I strongly recommend firms to use these last few days to assemble their entries before the end of next week.”

She concludes, “Full information and details about the Awards, the categories, the judging process and the overall Pride In Print concept can be found on the www.prideinprintawards.co.nz website. For those who prefer a printed hard copy of the information pack, contact the Pride In Print Awards offices on 04 237 0482."
