Objectif Lune unveils new software suite

product launch  Objectif Lune

VDP and workflow automation solutions specialist Objectif Lune has released the latest version of its VDP software, 7.1 PrintShop Mail Suite, which it says combines an ease of use with powerful production features.

Didier Gombert, chief executive officer at Objectif Lune, says, “This release gives Objectif Lune the opportunity to showcase what makes PrintShop Mail Suite the best personalised print solution on the market, at an affordable price.”

The company says that it initially created PrintShop Mail to solve the production speed issues surrounding high-volume mail merge and that it evolved to include a user-friendly design interface with advance drag-and-drop capabilities reducing job creation time. Objectif Lune next created a web-to-print module, PrintShop Mail Web, in order to optimise online ordering of VDP products.

With PrintShop Mail Suite 7.1, Objectif Lune says it has made PrintShop Mail Web a full-featured production server able to process variable data print jobs submitted by as many design stations as desired, from anywhere in the world for direct production or web ordering.

New features include compatibility with PDF/VT output, an emerging standard for variable data printing (VDP) jobs and new web ordering possibilities for Microsoft Word mail merge documents.

Stuart Drysdale, managing director Objectif Lune Asia including Australia, says, “It’s good to see we are still progressing our product in the market place on a continually improving basis, which we do with all our solutions. For instance in January, with Printshop Mail, we brought out a package that allows Printshop Mail to be on the same pc as Creative Pro, which is the image generator for Direct Smile, so there is compatibility there. And as a package we have lowered that price.”
