PrintNZ’s keynote speaker at last year’s Focus on the Future conference, Margie Dana, is making three years worth of weekly notes available to the worldwide printing industry, free of charge.
With more than 350 issues since 1999, Margie’s Print Tips e-column has been the staple of print professionals worldwide for over seven years, according to her Boston Print Buyers.
Every week since 1999, Margie Dana has addressed a range of industry-related topics ranging from basic printing processes to new technologies for novices and seasoned industry veterans. Now, Boston Print Buyers has announced that all of the e-newsletters published since the beginning of 2004 will be made available free of charge on its website to help educate and inform the print buying community.
The free e-newsletter is currently distributed on a weekly basis to print buyers in more than 25 countries.
Margie Dana, founder of Boston Print Buyers says her goal is to educate the buying community while building a bridge between manufacturers and customers.
“Though the subject matters can be complicated, I aim to always use plain-speak so that even novices will understand the most complex issues,” she says.
“And I never run out of subject matter because print buyers are constantly faced with new and more intriguing issues that affect their daily lives.
’It’s my hope that the archive will become a valued resource that will aid learning, as well as help print buyers and print providers to better understand each other’s needs.”
Boston Print Buyers (BPB) is an independent association that caters for people who purchase or influence the purchase of printing.
The organisation claims to attract senior-level professionals from numerous fields, such as financial services, higher education, health care, manufacturing, publishing, retail, advertising, and graphic design who are interested in expanding their scope and understanding.
In addition to Margie’s Print Tips newsletter, BPB supports members with a members-only online forum, a member directory, regularly scheduled networking events, a mentor programme and BPB Member News, a monthly e-newsletter offering member profiles, guest articles and industry news.
Last year it organised North America’s largest print buyers conference, and event it is already planning later this year.
