Joint venture produces Helioflow
A joint technical venture between Dalim Software and Hell Gravure Systems has produced what both companies believe is a revolutionary interface - including the first automatic cylinder imposition tool. The Helioflow system gives operators a considerably greater level of production automation by using an advanced, high-performance automated imposition engine built from the ground up, for the exacting and precise demands of the gravure printing industry
It is the first intuitive automatic gravure imposition tool on the market, the companies say.
Helioflow interfaces with the Hell FormManager system - as well as with third-party MIS systems and production databases, whether JDF-enabled or otherwise - and by using the award-winning Dalim Twist premedia engine, automatically creates a cylinder imposition without any manual intervention.
Operators, on a web browser, can also receive a complete view of the imposition prior to engraving a cylinder. Thus they can administer, edit, manage, and approve the imposition process on-the-fly, anywhere in the world, 24/7, reducing errors and speeding turnaround time.
Dalim Software is a global leader in the design and development of innovative and automated professional production workflow software, and HELL Gravure Systems is a leading supplier of systems for engraving of gravure cylinders.
HELL Gravure Systems focuses on customising automation solutions for the rotogravure industry. The HelioKlischograph K6 engraver integrated into the AutoCon-line offers a fully automated cylinder production and over recent years has developed into the new industry standard.
HELL’s target is to provide the market with the best equipment for optimised quality, best cost/performance ratio and overall automation in the gravure cylinder production.
The new next-generation direct-to-cylinder engraving K6 device, for example, is a fully automated unit with up to 18 engraving channels. It can produce gravure cylinders 2,5 to 4,32 meters in length resulting in enormously large impositions.
