The Huber Group recently announced its acquisition of Nova Inks & Chemicals Limited, which will operate under name Hostmann-Steinberg New Zealand Limited from September 1.

Ray Toal, managing director of Hubergroup Australia and New Zealand, says, “The business will continue to build on the existing reputation for supplying top quality lithographic inks for all Sheetfed and Web applications including UV.” The company plans to continue with the supply and service of associated products including rollers and printing blankets

Allan Walbridge, managing director of Nova Inks & Chemicals emphasises that, despite the acquisition and name change, it’s business as usual. He says, “All the staff are staying on, so everyone’s contacts will remain the same. We’ll continue to meet all our commitments, as we always have.”

Toal agrees and says, “The acquisition enhances the Huber Group’s strategic goal to become a leading printing ink and service provider to customer groups across Australia & New Zealand. The Huber Group intends to continue operating all presently existing facilities in New Zealand.”

Based in Munich Germany, the Huber Group, one of the largest ink manufacturers in the world with 29 member companies, still comes under the control of its founding family.
