Heidelberg has taken out the prestigious iF product design award 2009 with its Eurobind 4000, which produces paperbacks, magazines, annual reports and image brochures.

Eckhard Köbler, head of Heidelberg Industrial Design believes the award validates the company’s aim for its products to catch the eye. He says, "We want our products to have an unmistakable look, and want to stand out from our competitors through our design.”

An international judging panel selected a total of 802 winners out of 2808 entries. 1025 companies from 39 countries took part in the competition. The Eurobind 4000 won in the Industry/Skilled Trades category. Since 1990, Heidelberg has won a total of 16 iF design seals for its prepress, press, and postpress products.
