Frontline Technologies has placed a call challenging printers, publishers, designers and agencies to boldly go into the final frontier of colour space by attending an ISO standards industry summit later this month.

Titled ‘Colourspace: The Final Frontier’, the summit takes place at Auckland’s Stardome in One Tree Hill on March 27 from 10am to 1pm. The summit venue not only supplies organisers with a handy motif alluding to information about the latest technology, but also alerts attendees to the fact that they need to look to the future in the fast changing world of modern print.

Craig Gemmell, business development manager, Frontline Technologies NZ Ltd, believes the summit will prove invaluable to those who attend. He says, “The summit provides a significant opportunity for anyone to gain an understanding of this vital aspect of our industry. As a Fogra partner we’re fully committed to continuing the momentum we’ve established in the worldwide acceptance of ISO standards and in assisting New Zealand companies to gain Fogra certification.”

Besides covering areas such as PDF and CS suite integration, process control tools, and proofing and workflow, the summit will also address issues around ink optimisation and rgb workflow setups. Attendees will also receive advice on ink and paper, ISO/3DAP compliance, and ISO12647/2 vs 3DAP.

Admission is free and lunch will be provided. Gemmell adds, “The summit will also host a discussion forum as a further opportunity for exploration of a range of views and ideas. Anyone interested in attending should rsvp by March 20 to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
