Epson New Zealand has announced a new partnership with a global programme called Energy Star, which encourages the procurement of energy efficient products by businesses.

Acting on consumers’ increased awareness of solutions that can reduce their effecct on the environment and save money, Epson New Zealand joined the Energy Star programme, saying it helps consumers by providing a recognisable standard that allows them to identify products that save them money through energy efficiency.

The company says Energy Star ratings apply to all of its Epson Stylus inkjet printers; the majority of Epson Stylus multifunction printers;Epson scanners; the Perfection V300 Photo; the Epson GT-1500 and the Epson Perfection V30. The vast range of Energy Star rated products provides consumers with a selection of products to choose from which best suits their needs.

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA).administers and promotes Energy Star in New Zealand. Mike Underhill, chief executive of the EECA, said that being a partner and promoting Energy Star qualified products signals a company's commitment to energy efficiency and helping New Zealand become a more energy efficient nation, reinforcing that company's dedication to providing its customers with the best advice, products and service.

We see ENERGY STAR as a way to continue to build on the trust that customers have in our business, our products and our people.
