binding  product launch  Duplo

Duplo has launched its largest perfect binder into the New Zealand market through TS Wilson Jnr Ltd.

Steve Wilson, general manager TS Wilson Jnr Ltd, says, "It is a very versatile machine and, for a single clamp operation, it is very fast, which also makes it ideal for on demand digital printers."

Successfully handling output from both offset and digital devices at speeds of up to 500 cycles per hour, the machine's applications include books, directories, manuals, and magazines. Equipped with in-line hinge scoring, it can also be programmed to automatically perform changeovers for different book thicknesses.

Wilson says the machine had already generated interest before arriving in New Zealand because many people had seen it at drupa. It is capable of binding a range of materials with a maximum booklet size of 360mm x 320mm and a minimum of 120mm x 120mm.
