Organisers of the PrintNZ conference say that feedback from previous conferences has brought back several popular speakers including David Nottage, who will deliver a session on effective presentation skills.
Nottage, a past winner of the Toastmaster’s world championship, works as a provider of training in business presentations to organisations such as Deloitte, Fletcher Construction, Air New Zealand and the Royal New Zealand Navy. He says that he has come a long way from when he felt too scared to speak in front of a small group of people to having the confidence to address anyone.
He says, “I've often maintained that it is not the best idea that gets adopted, it is the one that is expressed the best. So make sure you do everything you can to ensure that when the opportunity comes round that you are prepared to voice your opinion in a confident and competent manner.”
Aimed at people working in roles where they are required to speak in front of groups of people, contribute to meetings or present ideas to clients, Nottage’s presentation will contain advice on how to create an effective presentation and how to deliver the presentation in a confident and competent manner (including how to conquer nerves).
With the support of its sponsors, including principal sponsors Aarque Group, Böttcher, Fuji Xerox and Hostmann-Steinberg, PrintNZ has put together a two-day conference package that will run from June 28-29 at the Heritage Hotel in Auckland. Nottage will run his session at 1.45pm on 28 June, 1.45pm.
Other conference topics include manufacturing strategy; reducing machine setup times; maximising press performance; pioneering printed electronics; boosting business sales; social media; insurance lessons from Christchurch; and drupa. For any questions about the PrintNZ Conference, contact Ruth Cobb on 027 2489404 or visit the PrintNZ website www.printnz.co.nz
