Canon celebrated Fogra certification of three imagePress printers at the recent PacPrint exhibition in Melbourne.
Craig Manson, senior general manager marketing Canon Australia, said at PacPrint, “The importance of PacPrint for Canon comes after a redesign of its prepress and product solutions. Canon was awarded ISO/CD 12647-7 certification from Fogra for three presses: the imagePRESS C1+, imagePRESS C6000 and imagePRESS C7000VP.”
Canon’s featured range included its Helix Production Workflow, a print management solution, which enables print providers to offer flexible web-to-print services. Canon also demonstrated the new imagePRESS C1+ digital press, which it says is the first colour device with clear toner for the light production and proofing markets. Aimed at graphic artists and designers, it prints five colours (CMYK + clear) in one pass or can add clear toner to pre-printed articles. The new Creo Color Server, offered with Canon's imagePRESS C6000 and C7000VP digital presses, was also on display. Canon says its digital press customers will be able to integrate with a variety of professional workflows with open connectivity using JDF standards, including Kodak Prinergy workflow solutions.
