Agfa Graphics and Aarque Graphics NZ Limited have announced a partnership that will see Aarque Graphics exclusively distributing Agfa's Anapurna range of commercial UV flatbed/roll-to-roll inkjet print devices and consumables to the New Zealand market place.

Steve Taylor, inkjet business manager for Agfa Graphics Oceania region, says, "We are seeing a significant increase in worldwide demand for large-format print products, and therefore for commercial UV flatbed/roll-to-roll inkjet print devices, and there is a clear trend towards UV inks in this context. Both developments underline the fact that we backed the right horse when we devised our inkjet product strategy. As we have absolute confidence in our technology, by partnering with Aarque Graphics in New Zealand we now also have the same confidence in distribution and product promotion that Aarque Graphics can provide to the New Zealand market place”

The companies say that the new partnership provides a solid foundation of experience and expertise for both existing and new Agfa Anapurna customers. Jason Bult, business development manager for Aarque Graphics, says, "The combined strengths of the Agfa and Aarque Graphics brands, in terms of product capability, affordability, specialist technical expertise, and a nationwide sales and service network, delivers a formidable solution that assists customers in gaining that elusive competitive advantage."

The partnership is effective immediately, with exclusive distribution set for May 1. The new partners advise that Agfa Anapurna customers will receive an introductory pack further explaining these changes.
