Canon and Océ are to form a new professional printing division with Simon Wheeler, currently managing director of Océ to head the new division.

The new division, Canon Professional Printing (CPP) will commence operations from  January 1 next year. Wheeler has joined Canon’s Australia’s senior leadership team with immediate effect effective and will lead the new CPP division when it commences operation in 2013. In the meantime he will continue to lead the Océ Australia business.

Canon says its customers will see few changes to the day to day operations of the Canon PPS, LFP and Commercial Inkjet teams as they will remain in their current business units until the end of the year.
