W&H treble up

packaging  quality control  product launch 
Windmoeller & Hoelscher will exhibit a 3-layer VAREX blown film line at this year’s NPE in Chicago. The 63" (1,600 mm) line is equipped with the innovative MULTICOOL air ring and will be demonstrated live. Featuring Optifil P2 automatic gauge profile control, a capacitive thickness gauge, multiple-component gravimetric control and the ISP module for integrated quality control, the system produces high quality film. The newly designed touchscreen operator console Procontrol TS completes the line. Additionally, and for the first time at a U.S. show, the line will be equipped with the newly developed Multinip oscillating haul-off combined with Nostic, the non-contact turning bar system.

The Varex will be demonstrated with the Filmatic T dual stacked turret winder, with a novel automatic roll and shaft handling system. Because of its excellent width constancy, the line
