American manufacturer Air Motion Systems claims its recently launched UV curing system eliminates VOCs and saves money.
Launched at Graph Expo 2008, the Peak 3 Web UV curing system works with web press systems. Stephen Metcalf, president Air Motion Systems, says, "The P3 Web UV system provides web printers with state-of-the-art UV curing that eliminates VOCs and cuts thousands of dollars in annual costs by obviating the need for expensive gas-fired ovens, afterburners, chill rollers and through recovery of floor space.”The system’s features include dual peak reflector geometry to enable high-speed curing, interchangeable modular components, and multi-axial motion designed to maximize thermal durability of moving components.
