Tronics feeders prove to be the hot tip

Muller Martini  feeders  appointments
Tronics, local supplier of the Multifeeder Technology feeding solutions, has chalked up a number of significant sales this year, with a number of other important sales in the works. Müller Martini incorporated a Multifeeder tip on system with one of its inserting lines at a major national printer back in February, which was followed by the integration of a tip on system into the current conveying system at major fulfilment house in April. One of New Zealand’s most respected web printers also installed high speed Multifeeder systems capable of running at 690ppm into the Gammeler trimmer, servicing no less than six of the company’s presses.
According to Matt Johnson, Tronics national product manager for graphics, the range of Multifeeder friction feeders holds a number of advantages over similar systems on the market. These include gentle low pressure product separation by having many wide separation wheels (stripping wheels), distributing the product separation pressure and force over a large product surface area, which will not damage delicate products that are being fed, as well as dual product thickness for handling irregular products.

Additionally, product feeding is controlled throughout the entire feeding process, with upper and lower belts securing the product as it is being fed. The angle of the discharge is fully adjustable from five degrees above horizontal to practically vertical without disassembling the feeder, meaning difficult applications can be met without the need for a new system or mechanical modification.
