Strength in-depth from Kurz

foil  packaging  signage  Kurz  product launch
The stamping foil manufacturer Kurz has developed a design range that offers a new lens-like appearance which the company says exhibits an exceptional feeling of depth. These diffractive, light reflecting foils named Lenses display lens patterns, which although less than 1µ deep have the perception of having a thickness of several millimeters. When the foil is tilted, it appears as if light is falling onto the surface of this lens and that light is being focused onto a point in its interior. These new design foils are particularly suited for use in the packaging field due to the depth effect achieved combined with rainbow colour play, to produce a highly eye-catching look. The product, available as both a hot stamping foil and as laminating foil, can consequently be applied to the entire surface or just a part thereof. The designs themselves can be tailored to small or large surface applications thanks to their varying lens sizes. The foils are available in a variety of colours; transparent foils also exist allowing the lens effect to be placed on top of coloured print, images or lettering.

Besides the Lenses foils, Kurz’s inhouse design department also offers other new foils with refractive effects. With its fresh, customer-focused designs, KURZ offers new options for providing originality for packaging applications and other products.
