While SGIA 05 in New Orleans had to be cancelled, the group did have an incredible response to its recent Digital Expo, held in December in Arizona, US.
The SGIA Digital Expo drew 147 exhibitors and a well qualified group of 5473 attendees who browsed exhibits for three days.Visitors were almost exclusively from the US, Americans making up 91 per cent of attendees. The remainder came from 47 countries, Canada, Mexico and the UK at the top of the list.
Most visitors agreed it was a good chance to see equipment, talk to suppliers and talk about performance and long-term durability.
Many visitors admitted that the expo cleared up a lot of concerns they had about going digital.
Exhibitors were also happy with the response. Xeikon reported high interest in its products; Océ said there were lots of
interested buyers; and HP Indigo said the buyers were high quality.
