Sakurai steps up sheetfed success
Graphic Systems exhibited four offset presses from its range of B2 and SRA2 sheetfed machines at drupa. The new B2 Sakurai OL 75SD series press got its European debut at drupa. Designed to offer more performance, versatility and automation, according to Sakurai, the press follows on from the OL 72ED range, with a host of new features.
The double diameter impression and transfer cylinders, full off-press controls, seven o’clock cylinder configurations, pre-setting of sheet format and SPC auto plate changing are all standard features on the new press.
It comes available as a straight multi-colour or convertible perfector in four, five or six colour formats, with optional coater.
For printers looking to move up from B3 or down from B2, Sakurai showed its OL 66SI and SIP series. These machines have been installed around the world since launching in 2001. They include: auto changeover to and from perfecting, semi-auto plate change using metal or polyester plates, optional coater and IR drying.
