More than 60 printers and packagers descended on United Printing and Packaging’s premises in Arndell Park last night, to see the chemical embossing capabilities of the Ryobi 750 multi colour offset press.

The Ryobi 750 is a six colour offset press, with additional coater and UV dryer. The press also features integrated job management software as an additional evaluation tool.

Cyber Australia says the press, which has been on the market for around three years, won the prestigious German reddot design award in 2003 and has since earned a reputation for increasing sales and profitability for many printing companies.

Mark Price, sales manager for Cyber Australia says, “The presentation was a success, visitors on the night got to see the versatility and ease of operation of the 750 press.”

Price adds, “While chemical embossing is quite common for the packaging industry, it is not often seen in general printing. We see it as an efficient way to achieve spot gloss with UV varnish without the need for outsourcing.”

The coating unit of the Ryobi 750 series presses can also be equipped with an optional chamber type doctor blade system, which according to Cyber ensures high quality coating by providing a consistently uniform supply.

Price concludes, “People we spoke to on the night said they got a lot out of the presentation. United Printing and Packaging have a fantastic facility; its business has grown leaps and bounds since purchasing the Ryobi.”
