PrintShop Mail gets a revamp

marketing
The new version of variable data printing software PrintShop Mail will soon be available. PrintShop Mail is known by the industry as one of the eminent software packages for personalised printing, with more than 14,000 licences being sold worldwide to both Windows and Macintosh users. The company says that its easy-to-use graphical user interface and the low amount of learning time has made the product many friends, especially in printshops, lettershops and direct marketing agencies. One of the favoured features is the pdf-import, enabling pdfs to be used as the basic backgound / layout of any piece of direct mail.

The core part of the software is the separation of the variable data from the static content. The static part of a printjob is submitted to the printer and stored on the printer itself or on the rip. The software supports PPML as well, enables even large jobs with 100 per cent variable data to be printed at high speed.

The new graphical user interface is split in seperated fields, which allows immediate access to all elements of the layout. The font-size is now automatically adjusted to the size of the text-box chosen. Several text-boxes can now be selected simultaneously so that text can be imported (as .txt or .rtf files) or entered directly from the layout surface. Images and text-boxes can be rotated by mouse-click and V5 of PrintShop Mail now also supports the full CMYK and RGB colour spectrum.
