MAN Roland, UPM and Kurz are to present state-of-the-art solutions at the first International Printing Technology Exhibition, Print China 2007, which starts in Guangdong on Tuesday.
This is also the first time that PrintCity, jointly represented by the three participating companies, will have participated in a major exhibition in China.
PrintCity is a strategic alliance that connects worldwide expertise from a wide range of independent companies within the graphic arts industry.
At Print China, to be held in Guangdong from April 10 to 14, MAN Roland, UPM and Kurz will work together as a "Connection of Competence".
The three companies will demonstrate how printing professionals can optimise the complete workflow and production processes in an open-systems approach.
Guests will have a chance to learn and be inspired how to combine the world's best technology as well as expertise and bring practical solutions to their own printing plants.
PrintCity says all customers, especially those involved in packaging, publishing and commercial products, will enjoy tremendous benefits from the open-platform approach of PrintCity, which should enable them to become better, faster and more cost-efficient as well as enabling defferentiation from competitors.
Printers will be able to:
- Accurately identify unique and specific needs in print and work with the three companies to make the best informed and most intelligent investment in tailor-made solutions
- Network with the world’s most eligible suppliers in print technology and related products who have a mutual interest to deliver innovative solutions to China
- Access a wide range of exclusive reports from PrintCity on cross-industry topics, such as UV sheetfed printing, food packaging, brand protection and many more
Marco Faulhaber, managing director of MAN Roland Greater China says his company, one of the world's largest manufacturers of printing systems, is thrilled to represent PrintCity at Print China.
"MAN Roland has been a dedicated member of PrintCity since its foundation in 1998," says Faulhaber. "By joining PrintCity, customers will be able to maintain their competitive edge by sharing the valuable experience of the most advanced technology and printing solutions from the best of the world.
"MAN Roland will connect the print industry in China via PrintCity at Print China in April.
"Through PrintCity and our alliance with UPM and Kurz, we are going to support the printing, publishing and packaging industry to advance to the next level," says Faulhaber.
Global supplier of printing papers, UPM, also has great expectation of this alliance at Print China. The company's product manager for China and Asia Pacific, Xia Xiaohui, says, "PrintCity is widely recognised in Europe and has earned a prestigious status among print professionals.
"Many of the Chinese printers have learnt some amazing things about PrintCity at drupa, the international printing and packaging exhibition in Germany that is held once every four years.
"2007 will be a groundbreaking year for PrintCity and we are honoured to represent this alliance to bring all the good news on benefits in print, directly to all customers in China."
Another partner, Kurz also welcomes the opportunity. K.S. Chan, Kurz sales director for Greater China, concludes, "This is a golden opportunity for us to find out how PrintCity can prosper in China in the future.
"In Europe, our customers have found seminars as well as publications to be very effective in the dissemination of information. If customers in China are also interested, we certainly can and will do the same.
"Customers always come first. PrintCity has the advantages to fulfil the needs of customers and we are ready to deliver."
MAN Roland, UPM and Kurz cordially invite all Chinese publishers, printers and packaging converters to visit PrintCity at Print China next week.
