business planning  Printing Industries Australia

Cliff Brigstocke, CEO of Opus Print Group will be the guest speaker at Printing Industries’ first NSW CEO Forum for 2009. The association says that Brigstocke will provide a keynote address on – Growing a printing business in tough times.

The OPUS Print Group is based in Sydney and has recently acquired several niche print businesses. It operates three divisions, the first short-medium run book printing with Ligare. The second division is out of home printing and includes businesses such as Cactus Imaging in New Zealand and Australia along with OmniGraphics in New Zealand.

The third division specialises in government and commercial printing and includes Union Offset Printers, Canprint and Canberra Mailing & Envelopes. The group has over 300 staff and has locations in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Auckland.

Philip Andersen, CEO of Printing Industries says Brigstocke’s participation will provide an invaluable insight into the kind of strategies companies should be considering for their business sustainability.

He says, “Times are difficult but that does not mean business should stand still and wait for the problems to pass. On the contrary, it is a time to think about the future and then to back that up with actions.”

Andersen continues, “There are many opportunities for companies of all sizes to pursue and this forum luncheon will illustrate some of those through the experiences and philosophy of Cliff Brigstocke and his team.”

The Forum luncheon will be held on May 7 at Angelo's On the Bay - overlooking Cabarita Bay - from 12.15pm.
