Organic growth in revenues from machines, software and professional services was 12.3 per cent, with a 16 per cent jump in the second quarter. The trend in recurring revenues is also positive, says Océ.
Operating income was EUR64.6m, down from EUR75.8m in the corresponding half of 2003. For the second quarter, operating income was only 0.1 per cent down on the corresponding 2003 quarter, at EUR34.2m The net effect of outsourcing the lease activities on operating income was EUR2.2m.
Net income for the half amounted to EUR38.6m as opposed to EUR40.1m in 2003. However, net income for the quarter was up significantly on the corresponding quarter in 2003, experiencing a 12.9 per cent surge to EUR21.4m, attributable in part to sales in relation to drupa.
Océ says it is expecting a continued growth in sales of machines, software and professional services in the second six months of 2004.
