Océ has launched its new VarioPrint 6320 Ultra cutsheet printer, which the company claims is the world’s fastest, most productive digital perfecting system that clocks in at 336 A4 prints per minute.

The VarioPrint 6320 model is the centrepiece of the new VarioPrint 6000 Ultra line, the fastest, most productive family of ultra high speed, high volume digital perfecting systems, according to Epson.

Features include new Océ ScreenPoint technology quality control, allowing fine tuning of printed product at the printer itself, eliminating the need to return to the desktop to change a file. Océ also points to open platform integration to bring greater productivity to a variety of production environments.

The release comes three years after the introduction of the popular Océ VarioPrint 6000 family in 2006, the first cutsheet printer to exceed 200ppm through use of its patented Océ Gemini duplex technology.

Bert van Agen, vice president, marketing and strategic planning Océ-Technologies BV says, “The new speed level creates more opportunities for customers to take on more types of jobs. We expect the system will quickly find a place with high-end in-house and digital print shops and commercial printers, as well as corporate and commercial transaction environments.”

He continues, “Customers can also replace multiple production printing systems with a single Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra system, driving down costs, footprint, manpower requirements, and energy consumption.”
