News takes first Ferag EasySert

The first Ferag EasySert inserter to be used for newspaper production has been purchased by News Limited. The machine will be installed in the company’s Darwin printing facility.

Daniel Faesser, managing director, Ferag Australia says “We are glad that the EasySert’s new technology has found its first reference also in the local newspaper sector. The Intelligent Repair Control IRC that automatically ensures all newspapers are complete and reduces the required labour at night shift. Furthermore its simplicity to operate and maintain is a further step ahead. We are convinced that this smart technology will find further applications in this important market.”

Faesser says “We can report that News Limited has equipped all its mailrooms in Australia with technology of Ferag. The partnership goes long back and is not new as such, but the EasySert is a new product.”

The inserter will be built at Ferag’s headquarters in Hinwil, near Zurich in Switzerland, and shipped to Australia for installation at the publisher’s Darwin site by February next year.
